My Faith Home

Nearly five years ago, I stepped out of my comfort zone and started writing a faith blog. In my mind I had no business writing, as I was not a writer. Today, I’ve written consistently over the last five years, and I’ve published three books in the process.

Lately, I have been feeling the call to write about Faith and Finance as an ongoing topic. Do these topics even go together? I have discovered that they do, and so, I want to share with you some of the things that I have been learning. When God calls you in a certain direction, He has already prepared the way, and your job is to follow… So, here I am.

Today, I’ll start off by sharing my Faith House story. I have lived in this home for five years. If the number five seems to be recurring, it is because I started writing to God within a few days of living in my home.

I had mentally started planning for where my daughter would attend kindergarten. She was about 3, but I’m not only a professional financial planner, I’m also a personal planner. I knew I would not be sending her to the school designated by my area. I did not think I was in a position to purchase a home, but when I sensed God prompting me to start looking, I did. I found a home that was exactly at my price point, with the things on my list.

Here are some of the things that I had in place – even though I had not been planning for a new home.

While I did not think I was in a position to purchase at the time, God showed me the places in which He had been providing. And my job was to be obedient, even if it felt a bit scary at the time. I also had a role to play – because I had been doing my part, God was able to use my mortgage company to make concessions that I had never heard of, nor have heard of since.

What are some things, financial or non financial, that you are being asked to step out in faith on?

How can I help you as you look at your finances to become a better steward of your existing resources?
